Two friendly cats together

The Branch held it's Annual General Meeting at the Witton Gilbert Community Centre in Witton Gilbert on 20 May 2010, the meeting elects Trustees to look after the affairs of the Branch for the coming year. The 2009 Acounts and report are now available here,whilst the 2008 Accounts and Trustee report are still available here, the 2007 Accounts are also available here and the agreed 2005 accounts and Trustees Report, 2006 accounts and Trustees Report..

The Branch is helding a very successful collection during RSPCA week 26 April - 2 May at Tescos in Gilesgate.

The branch will be helding a free neutering voucher and microchipping day at Meadowfield Sports Centre on Tuesday 8 June.

The branch will be holding it's annual dog show on Sunday 11 July at 2.00 om at Deerness Kennels in Langley Moor.

A Charity auction will be held at Willington Methodist Church Hall on Saturday 11 September 2010, viewing from 11.00 am auction to start at 12.00.

Rabbit Awareness Campaign was held at Craghead Viilage Hall on Tues 31 March from 10am - 12. Cats were microchipped FREE and neutering voucher for your cats and Rabbits provided.

FREE Rabbit health check were also available at Deerness Kennels on Wed 1st April as well as free neutering voucher for rabbits and cats.

The Branch is run entirely by volunteers. New volunteers are always required. If you wish to volunteer please follow the link here.

If you would like to make a donation to the branch cheques, made out to RSPCA Durham & District, can be sent C/O 41 Norwich Road, Newton Hall, Durham, DH1 5QA. The Branch has an Adopt a Kennel scheme to raise funds to help maintain both cats and dogs awaiting rehoming. If you would like to help the branch, a standing order for can be produced by printing the Adopt a Kennel form (which is a four page A5 booklet) and completing page 2 and returning to the address on that page and the standing order form on page 4 and passing that to your own bank.

The Branch produce a quarterly newsletter, the Spring 2010 edition is also now available.

The branch held an auction of items on Saturday 22 September 2007 at the Framwellgate Community Centre in Framwellgate Moor. The auction raised over £900. We will be holding another auction on Saturday 13 September 2008 at the Framwellgate Moor Community Centre.

The Branch held an Open day and dog show again at Deerness Kennels on Sunday 8 July 2007, this years show was held on 13 July 2008 at 2.00 pm again including a dog show.

RSPCA week held between 28 April and 4 May 2008 and a collection at Tesco's at Dragonville, Durham raised over £1600.

A street collection was held in Durham on Saturday 21 July 2007, £222.04 was collected.
