The Branch held it's Annual General Meeting at the Witton Gilbert Community Centre in Witton Gilbert on 19 May 2011 , the meeting elected Trustees to look after the affairs of the Branch for the coming year. The branch will hold it's annual auction at Willington Methodist Church on Saturday 10 September 2011viewing from 10.00 am.
The two Branch Dog co-ordinators are doing a sponsored kennel sit in on Saturday 24 - Sunday 25 September 2011 to help with the cost of dogs, including Spice who requires treatment for one of his front legs. A sponsership form can be obtained from Deerness Kennels, the dog co-ordinators etc.
FREE CHIP AND NEUTER DAY. It was held on Sat 12 March 2011 at Craghead Village Hall from 3pm - 5pm, we offered free micro chipping and neutering vouchers of dogs, cats and rabbits to many.
The branch will hold it's annual Xmas fair on Saturday 10 December 2011 at North Road Methodist Church (Durham) from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm.
The Branch hels a collection during RSPCA week (this year from 2 - 8 May) at Tescos in Gilesgate which raised £1268.50.
The branch held a successful free neutering voucher and microchipping day at Meadowfield Sports Centre on Tuesday 8 June.
The Branch holds an Open day and dog show again at Deerness Kennels on Sunday 10 July 2011 at 2.00 pm.
A Charity auction was held at Willington Methodist Church Hall on Saturday 11 September 2010, viewing from 11.00 am raising £1257.

If you would like to make a donation to the branch cheques, made out to RSPCA Durham & District, can be sent C/O 41 Norwich Road, Newton Hall, Durham, DH1 5QA. The Branch has an Adopt a Kennel scheme to raise funds to help maintain both cats and dogs awaiting rehoming. If you would like to help the branch, a standing order for can be produced by printing the Adopt a Kennel form (which is a four page A5 booklet) and completing page 2 and returning to the address on that page and the standing order form on page 4 and passing that to your own bank.
