Volunteers

Two friendly cats togetherThe Branches are run by volunteers, so their is a wide range of things available from helping in the charity shop to becoming a Trustee of the Branch. We are always in need of Fosterers to look after either dogs or cats in your own home or as rehoming visitors.

Fostering an animal can be a very valuable and rewarding way of volunteering. This involves caring for an animal in your own home with guidance and support from the Branch. The animal remains available for adoption by the public, whilst you can provide valuable assistance in assessing the dog in a domestic situation. We also need volunteers to train as home visitors training is provided. This involves asessing potential adoptees and suitability of the home environment.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Kath on 0191 384 0269.
