RSPCA Dog Page (Available Dogs)

The Durham & District branch currently has over 9 kennels at a kennel in Durham, as well as dogs in the homes of several volunteers.

We always have several dogs available for re-homing, and our kennels are filled almost as soon as a dog is re-homed.

Details of some of the dogs available to re-homed, are below. As we are constantly re-homing animals, you can check with our dog re-homing coordintor on the dogs currently available.

All our dogs receive vaccination and micro chipping and must be neutered, this is normally done before release, however in a minority of cases this may be done later. If you want to re-home a dog, one of our volunteers will call on you to carry out a home visit. All the dogs are subject to a donation of £75.

You can also ask them for advice on looking after your new pet, but as they are not vets we recommend that you seek professional assistance from a vet on medical matters.

I am a dog and cannot tell you that I also need protection from the sun, but just like you, I need suncream added to my vunerable parts, those where I do not have my hair to protect me or my hair is thin. So if your dog is a little thin or bald, remember to use sun protection to keep him (her) safe.

If you would like to make a donation to the branch cheques, made out to RSPCA Durham & District, can be sent C/O 41 Norwich Road, Newton Hall, Durham, DH1 5QA. The Branch has an Adopt a Kennel scheme to raise funds to help maintain both cats and dogs awaiting rehoming. If you would like to help the branch, a standing order for can be produced by printing the Adopt a Kennel form (which is a four page A5 booklet) and completing page 2 and returning to the address on that page and the standing order form on page 4 and passing that to your own bank.
